Wendy’s Beauty Quake
If you’re looking for a place where you can find all your beauty and personal care needs in one stop, look no farther than Wendy’s Beauty Quake. Owner Wendy Diaz and her highly qualified staff are ready to give you a new, exciting hairstyle or assist you with any of a number of other services.
Wendy’s Beauty Quake is conveniently located at 7831 South Highland Drive in Cottonwood Heights. And with 22 years’ experience in cutting hair, Wendy has the experience and expertise to keep you coming back.
“We’re a full-service family salon,” she says. “We keep up on the latest trends and styles.”
For 10 years, Wendy ran a salon in the Ft. Union area. After that salon closed, she spent four years traveling around the area going to clients’ homes to style hair. Now, she’s thrilled to be back in business, serving many of the same clients that came to the Ft. Union location, as well as many new ones.
“I appreciate being back in business,” she says. “I’m here for you, not me. I love my clients; I love people. I’m looking for people I had in the past and always need more people.”
Wendy’s Beauty Quake offers haircuts to everyone—men, women, children, seniors—and whatever style the customer wants. You can also get hair colors, perms and highlights. Wendy and her stylists also do nails, as well as eyelash and eyebrow tinting. Wendy’s Beauty Quake even styles wigs.
“We’re all about quality service—customer service,” Wendy says. “If you don’t like it, we’ll fix it. If you’re not satisfied, neither are we. We’re not happy if you’re not.”
Another popular service you can find at Wendy’s Beauty Quake is a spray-on tan, a feature Wendy says she was the first in Utah to offer 15 years ago.
And at Wendy’s Beauty Quake, you’ll find fair prices and a positive atmosphere.
“I’d rather be fair-priced and have a lot of customers than be high-priced,” she says. “We have a brand-new place and brand-new stuff.”
Wendy’s Beauty Quake offers senior and military discounts, as well as $5 off the next haircut for referrals.
Wendy thanks her father Jon Hutchings, who has helped motivate her to succeed in the craft she loves. She’s also grateful for her friend Peter Pfeil, who, once Wendy decided to open a salon in Cottonwood Heights, went right to work, helping complete the construction of the interior of the salon.
“I’m thankful for my heroes,” she says. “I’ll thankful for a second chance. I’m thankful to be living the dream twice. Not many people get to live their dreams once.”
To show her gratitude, Wendy has given back, as the salon has cut hair for women’s shelters and collected food for the Utah Food Bank.
Wendy’s Beauty Quake is open seven days a week—Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 801-942-2600 or visit http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wendys-Beauty-Quake.
