Jingle Bell Jog / It's all about family

181 days ago1942 views

This 5K walk / run is completely different. The whole family can do it. Registration is cheap (really cheap). Everybody gets a jingle bell. Door prizes are great. And Utah Food Bank gets the proceeds.

Organizer Micah Miller of Sandy says: I’ve done lots of runs and triathlons, and they cost so much money. I've always wanted to do events with my family and my nieces and nephews, but registration would have cost a fortune for us all.

"I decided to do something that's affordable for all families," she said. The cost for our event is $25 per family or $10 per person and it all goes to the Food Bank.

Our whole family is helping prepare for this event, and when it’s over we will all go to the Utah Food Bank to deliver the money we’ve raised and to do service there as a whole family. We are all so excited about it.  It’s especially nice for the younger kids to see how much fun it can be to do things for others.

Our event will be held at Draper Park at 9am on December 3rd. Everybody gets a jingle bell to run with, and you can bring your own bells too. It’s non-competitive. Everybody will be entered in a free drawing to be held at the end of the event. The local businesses have been great by donating a lot of really great prizes. And Santa and Mrs. Claus will greet everyone at the end of the run.
