Free Snowbird tram rides this weekend

Update: The maintenance is done and Snowbird offers free Tram rides to the top of the mountain this Saturday and Sunday, November 5 and 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. weather permitting. Enjoy the free Tram ride in exchange for a donation to the Utah Food Bank or Wasatch Adaptive Sports  

Guests may bring a donation of either a can of food, a hygiene item or $3, Requested hygiene items are toothpaste, soap, baby diapers and wipes. Preferred canned food items are peanut butter, tuna, chili, soup/stew, vegetables, fruit, beans and spaghetti sauce. Acceptable boxed foods are rice, macaroni and cheese, boxed dinners, cake mix and pasta. Special-needs foods, such as low-sugar and low-sodium goods, are also appreciated.

Go early and enjoy a breakfast and check out the retail shops on the plaza.

When you go: Wear winter clothes and boots. The weather at 10,000 feet is different than here in the valley -- more snow, colder temperatures. Take some snapshots.
