
Musicians, chorus members sought for 'Messiah'
The Holladay United Church of Christ and the Salt Lake Holladay LDS Stake will combine again this year for the 19th annual presentation of Handel's "Messiah." The performance will be held on Sunday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Salt Lake Holladay Stake Center, 4568 Holladay Blvd.
Chorus and orchestra members are now being recruited for rehearsals, which will begin on Oct. 31 for the choir and Nov. 7 for both orchestra and choir.
On Nov. 28, selected numbers will also be performed with the worship service at the Holladay United Church of Christ.
Anyone interested in performing as part of this Thanksgiving tradition is invited to.
Among those performers committed this year are tenor Scott Miller, bass Judd Sheranian, alto Paula Fowler, soprano Tricia Swanson, conductor Paul Christensen, orchestra conductor Jack Ashton and piccolo trumpet musician Robert Taylor.
