Fun fall events with the Holladay Chamber of Commerce
The Holladay Chamber Golf Tournament was a big success as 56 golfers hit the course at Mountain Dell for a fun morning of golf on Aug. 20. The team from Current Promotions won the event with a score of 54 and chamber board member Mark Quinn's team took second place with a score of 60. Pyxis Executive Suites, Mountain America Credit Union, Zions Bank and American Family Insurance helped sponsor the event.
Save the morning of Thursday, Oct. 14 to attend the first annual Holladay Chamber business seminar. Held at the Holladay City offices (4580 South 2300 East), the seminar, "Survive. Revive. Thrive. Marketing Strategies for Better Business," will give business owners tools to differentiate their brands, navigate social media and hear local success stories.
Dr. Chris Hill, athletic director at the University of Utah, will be the keynote speaker at the seminar. Chamber and non-Chamber members from around the valley are invited to participate in the event that runs from 8 a.m. until noon. Exhibitor space is available and more information will be coming soon. For inquiries, contact Peri Kinder at pkinder@holladaychamber.org.
Make note that the monthly Holladay Chamber luncheons have been changed from the second Friday of each month to the second Tuesday of each month. The next luncheon will be held at the Cottonwood Country Club at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 14. Utah Gov. Gary Herbert will be there to offer a few remarks during the luncheon.
Also, to commemorate its first year anniversary, Pyxis Executives Suites (999 Murray Holladay Road, Suite 109) is hosting a community networking event on Tuesday, Sept. 28 from 1-5 p.m. with a drawing held for those who attend. Businesses interested in participating as vendors can contact Kathryn@pyxissuites.com or call 801-214-9700.
"In celebration of Pyxis' Suites one-year anniversary, we would like to invite the community to our Vendor Fair and Community Networking Event," CEO Kathryn Christiansen said.
