It’s a great time of year for celebrating summer holidays with firework displays, and a time for consumers purchasing legal fireworks to be reminded to keep their homes, neighborhoods, pets and community safe.

On May 12 Utah actualized nearly 500 new laws that span the legislative panoramic, with everything from seat belts to a law that reclaims Utah’s status as the only state with the firing squad as a legal way to execute.

The Wasatch Front Regional Council (WFRC) and Salt Lake County have awarded Cottonwood Heights a grant through the “Local Planning Resource Program.” The grant in the amount of $85,000 is for the Wasatch Boulevard/Gravel Pit Master and Capacity Plan.
“I’m not a quitter. My goal when I was diagnosed was to teach the team that cancer isn’t something you are going to die from. I knew I could beat this, you just have to pick up your cross and go,” Howa said.
