Brighton got 626" of snow this season.

Brighton celebrated its 80th anniversary during this ski season.

Brighton has a rich history in Utah skiing and in Utah since pioneer days. In 1870, Scottish immigrants William and Catherine Brighton and their sons homesteaded an 80 acre plot, and soon Catherine began serving meals to hungry travelers.

In the 1920s and 1930s, long before skiing became popular elsewhere, skiers thronged to Brighton and its excellent snow. A rope tow led to a T-bar and in the mid 1940s the father of contemporary Brighton, Zane Doyle, bought the fledgling resort and built an innovative chairlift that went half-way up Mount Millicent. More lifts and innovations followed.

Brighton Patrol earns top National Ski Patrol award

Brighton's ski patrol earned the "outstanding large Alpine Patrol" award for it's achievements and accomplishments on the hill as well as its service to the community. For example, patrollers provided emergency-care services and logistical support to a charity run and participated in a 150-mile bike ride for multiple sclerosis.
